Click and Clone

Description

This free interactive activity from the University of Utah's Genetic Science Learning Center, part of their series titled "Cloning," allows the user to practice somatic cell nuclear transfer cloning using animated mice. Using the "Mouse Cloning Lab," users practice cloning by going through the steps of isolating donor cells from mice, removing and discarding the nucleus from an egg cell, transferring a somatic cell nucleus into an enucleated egg cell, stimulating cell division, implanting an embryo and delivering the clone of a baby mouse. Users are then quizzed on what the color of the baby mouse will be, based on the colors of the donor parents.
