An Introduction to Job Scams

Description

In a job scam, a criminal impersonates an employer, usually to get the victim's personal information or money. Their methods can be as simple as posting a fake advertisement to a job board such as Indeed. On the other hand, some scammers go as far as to create fake websites or even entire fake job boards. These types of scams can be dangerous because they target job seekers who are struggling to find work. They also use the same platforms as actual employers: newspapers, online job boards, and other media. If you're looking for a job, read below for some tips on how to stay safe.
