This lab activity from the Biotechnology Alliance for Suncoast Biology Educators (BASBE) introduces the methods of RFLP analysis, or DNA fingerprinting, by using gel electrophoresis. Students will learn the role of restriction enzymes in DNA fingerprinting. Required materials, procedure and instructions are provided.
