NOVA: Galileo's Battle for the Heavens - Sunspot Cycle Classroom Activity

Description

In this classroom activity appropriate for grades 6-9, students interpret a graph that represents the sunspot cycle from 1900 to 1990. By studying patterns in the graph, they will then construct their own updated graphs to represent sunspots occurring from 1995 to 2003. This lesson integrates Galileo's studies of the sunspot cycle.
