Probability Density in an Infinite Square Well

Description

We present a simple example of the probability density function of a linear combination of two eigenstates for the wellknown infinite quantum well particle in a box The spatial part of two eigenstates A and B and the probability density function of their linear combination are plotted If the quantum numbers differ significantly a slow oscillation of the probability density function occurs We encourage students to play with the simulation to find some interesting curves
